3.7L underpower -265/70/17 tires?

Want to add bigger tires to make the commander to look a little more off road .
so I came up with adding 2.25 RR lift 265/70/17 tires and wheels with 4.5 backspacing pretty basic set-up i see on this forum.

I now have read that my 3.7L may be under power for this set-up and my brakes may not work as well...

Is this really the case?

would it help if I went with LT235/80R17 instead ?

How would that affect brakes versus any other engine size?

235 would be kinda thin in my opinion, but nobody but you can decide what looks good on your vehicle.

You will be fine with the 265's, I also have a 3.7L and was initially unsure about larger tires. Now that i have upgraded I can barely tell a difference, except for the fact that it no longer looks like a stocker haha.

As far as brakes, they are the same on all the models I believe and they should be more than good enough to stop some 32's. Take a look at the Goodyear wrangler Duratracs, they're a good mix off mud/all-terrain with a reasonable wear life, not to mention all the complements from other offroaders.
