Wheel question

I AM LOOKING AT A SET OF MICKEY THOMPSON CLASSIC BAJA LOCK 17X9 WITH 5X5 LUG PATTERN. WITH THE OFFSET AND BACK SPACING LISTED BELOW, WILL I HAVE TO STILL USE WHEEL SPACERS TO FIT 265/70R17 UNDER A 2" ROUGH COUNTRY LIFT? IF SOMEONE WOULD PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE IT WOULD BE APPRICATED. THANKS

Wheel Size: 17x9
Bolt Pattern: 5 on 5
Offset: -12
  • Backspace: 4.5

I wouldn't use spacers with those wheels. They are going to stick out plenty on their own.

Ok thanks for the reply. But will a 265/70 work...i have also been looking at 255/70. Just want to figure everything out before i spend all this money...

I wouldn't recommend running a 255/70 on a 9 inch wide wheel. That wheel is to wide for that tire.

With only a 2" lift/leveling kit I'd recommend running a wheel with a higher (more positive) offset. This will help minimize the modifications you'll need to make when running a tire this large. Negative offset wheels are better suited for vehicles with a larger lift.

For a 9" wide wheel I'd recommend running a +18mm offset
For an 8.5" wheel I'd recommend running am +18 to +25mm offset.
