Talking Ordered my tires!!

Well, after tons of advice from the forum through posts and searches I decided on 245/75/17 BFG AT's. I went with this so i could get the biggest tire without needing spacers or a lift (for now). Should have them by the end of next week! Just want to thank you all for the info and help.

Awesome! Please post pic's when you get them mounted. Where did you purchase them and how much did you pay?

I ended up just getting them from discounttirediect.com. I did see them cheaper at some little no-name shops around town, but I wanted the 6 months no interest that discount offered. They were $164 a tire and shipping to me was about $75. Just for comparison, tirerack was $166 a tire, but wanted about $125 to ship and they didn't have them in stock.

Aside from the exhaust, this is the first thing i have really done to the Commander so i'm pretty excited about it. I am a little upset that the stock tires are almost bald at 24,000 miles, but these should last a little better I hope.

I rotate my tires every 6,000 miles and now have over 20,000 on the Commander with little sign of wear. I could easily get another 35,000 out of the tires! However i sort of want them to get bald fast so i have an excause for so KM2's.

I'm really interested to see how these work out, please post up picks on this so we can figure out if this a viable option. Look forward to seeing them on the jeep.

Actually it was pics posted by Spidey that convinced me. Check out:

https://www.jeepcommander.com/forums/...=245%2F75%2F17

and go to post #25. Really nice pics of the tires on a Commander.

On a side note weaselox, how do you like the OME kit on your Wrangler? I have an 06 Rubicon Unlimited that i was looking at eventually putting the OME on but i keep hearing mixed reviews about it.

Looking forward to seeing YOUR pics, too. Those look like a tight squeeze, but really make it look more offroad worthy. Heh.

Those look like great tires!

I just put on a pair of Firestone Destination AT/s.

You can see a picture here.

As long as she doesn't read the forum, we'll keep quiet.

Now Gone: TJ 00 4 liter, 2" RE Lift and shocks, a few extra skidplates, and not much else, 'cause all the money goes to:

Now HIS: XK 07 Limited Hemi, 2" RR lift and shocks, JK Rubicon wheels (255/75 r17 BFG MT), 1.5" Spidertrax spacers, Rocky Road Supersliders, Mopar heavy-duty rails and roof rack. Get Lost 4x4 Rear Tire Carrier. 4xGuard Belly Skid. Oh, and a spiffy dash mat.
