New Tires!!

Got a set of Goodyear's Wrangler DuraTrac's coming in tomorrow. (245/75/17) Feels like Christmas.
Now just to save up enough cash for new springs, shocks, LCA's, and UCA's. :/

Very nice!

You're right though, they look huge! You mounting them to stock setup?

I'm leaning towards these or the STT PROs. Got my OME HD kit being delivered soon, then like you need to save for some new UCAs, LCAs and then get them all mounted!

Im interested in seeing this. They do look huge. Nice, though. I hope they fit! What size is on there now?

Yes, at the moment they are going on a stock setup. I currently have stock wheels on it now. From what I've seen on multiple threads here is that members have ran 245/75/17's with only minor rubbing at full lock. I am getting a bit nervous though. Everyone I've shown this picture to questions me if they'll fit. Perhaps they look bigger in the picture because they are out in front of the current tire?

The STT Pro's look great as well. How much are they per tire?

Over here (UK) they are both pretty similar cú140/ tire, not sure for you guys. Some people say really not noisy either but they are basically an MT so thinking that the Duratracs might be quieter still, will be interested to hear how you find them on tarmac.

I've also heard you can get squeeze the 245/75s, I thought about it myself but personally (and especially with the future lift) I want to widen the tires to help with centre of gravity for cornering etc.

245/75s are questionable on a stock setup. I went with 245/70s on mine and had rubbing at anything over one full turn of the wheel, as well as rubbing on the top of the wheel well over large bumps. I'm positive with 245/75s I wouldn't have been able to drive it at all.

I suspect that my tires are much larger than advertised, though; I couldn't clear them even with an RC lift. My suspension also had almost 150k miles on it when I installed the tires and has sagged significantly.

It's worth noting that with some serious trimming of the fender liner I was able to turn lock to lock without rubbing.

Thanks for the info/warning mate. I'm going to try the fender mod before I take it in to the shop tomorrow. Worse case scenario all I need is new LCA's to get my 2" lift installed. I would hope there is no rubbing after that!

I've read so many post on here of members rocking the 245/75's that I assumed it was a safe bet. Guess I'll soon find out.
