TPMS stems and mag chloride

I was wondering if anyone else saw the news piece on the failure of TPMS valve stems due to the mag chloride being used to de ice the streets.
I have had a personal experience with this while having my tires mounted. The shop monkey went to set the bead and the stem just snapped off right where the threads to the core cap ended, unfortunatly for them you cannot just buy the stem- a whole new sensor has to be bought.
But the other night I saw a news peice and the mechanic was holding up a stem broken exactly like mine, man i would hate to have that happen at speed or in another situation you arent ready for.

Haven't seen that happen yet, but the dealer blamed my failed front diff mounts on the the magchlor too, so there might be something to your failure too.
