Got new wheels instead of spacers

I picked these up for $95 a piece and also got disount tire to swap out my 265 Wrangler AT's with brand new 255/70 Hancook A/T's. I'm having a cv boot replaced but will have this setup installed by Friday hopefully and take pics. These aren't y DREAM wheels but they will do for now
I didn't want to put spacers or HAVE to do any more modding due to rubbing so I think I have solved my delimma's now. I don't think the tire size will look THAT different and to be honest I like the Hancooks much better and hear they are a much better tire.

The wheels are 17 x 8.5's. The offset is +25, but I am not sure I like the way it looks. They need to be sticking out a tad more. The guy there (good dude....very helpful and patient) said he could order a +18 offset and try those on. What offset do you guys think I need to equal, say, the stock wheels with a 1.25" spacer on them, in terms of stance? I think I will go back to the 265's too after we try them on and see how they fit...albeit I am going to get the Hancooks. The guy that sold me the original Wranglers did a song and dance to get me to get those even though I SPECIFICALLY asked for Hancooks, so that is the tire I want to end up with.

A 17x8.5 wheel with + 25 offset is equal to 5.7 inches of back spacing. Our stock wheels have 6 inches of back spacing however your new wheels are 1 inch wider. So basically the wheels will stick out 1.3 inches over stock. That would be similar to adding a 1.25 inch wheel spacer to your stock wheels.

+18 offset will be equivalent to 5.4 inches of back spacing so the wheel will stick out 1.6 inches over stock. Also when you are going from the stock tire width to a wider width the tires will stck our a hair further.

Thanks. Before they mounted them---for s__ts and giggles, I had them mount the 265 on the new +25 wheel. Looked greaT, and cleared the hell out of the stud and body rubbing AND the fender wells....BUT wa still a HAIR away from the swaybar. I juat know that it would still rub there had I left them. I want to try the 265's on the +18 wheels and see how that works before I make a final decision on the 255's because they look kind of puny compared to the old setup.

So there was no rubbing what so ever up front? We are in theory running a similar set up since your new wheels back spacing/width put your wheel out approximately the same distance that my 1.25 inch spacers do. The only difference is there was no way my tires would fit had I not bent over the pinch weld and re molded the inner plastic fender well. These tires I have must be a lot bigger then others who run 265/70's in different brands.
