Rim Fitting and Tire Size Questions

Im looking at some new Rims and tires once my lift arrives in a couple weeks.

I would like either of the two below :

**18x10 5 on 5.5 -24 mm 4.503226-062100 lbs.32 lbs.
**17x8 5 on 5 +2 mm 4.5173226-062100 lbs.29 lbs.

My Questions:

1.) Would I need wheel spacer's with the the 18x10 5x5.5? If so what size? All 4 tires or only the front axle? Will I need bolt adaptors to go from a 5x5 to 5x5.5 pattern?

2.) Would I need a wheel spacer if I ran a 17x8 with a 285/70/17? If so what size? All 4 tires or only the front axle?

3.) What would be needed to run an LT305/60R18/E with my 4" Superlift ?

4.) Just to confirm I shouldn't have any trouble running either a LT285/70R17/D or 33x12.50x17?

Unfortunately they don't make the tire in an 18 that I want to go with.

Thanks for all your input.

1) Those 18x10 wheels wont work with the Commander. They are 10 inches wide and have -24mm offset (4.5 inches of back spacing). Due to the width of the wheels you would need to run at least a 285mm wide tire which would make them stick out approx 3.5 inches further then stock. However, to run these wheels you would also need 5 on 5 to 5 on 5.5 adapters which will make the wheels stick out at least another inch to an inch and a half. Thats a no go!

2) The 17x8 wheels would work perfect without spacers. They are the correct bolt pattern and have 2mm offset (4.5 inches of backspacing) which means they will sit out approx. 2 inches further then stock depending on the width of the tire you go with. These wheels will be perfect for a lifted XK.

3) Again this tire size wouldnt work unless you found a different 18 inch wheel to go with. They would stick our about another 1/2 inch further then285's on that 18x10 wheel. If you found a 18x9 with a better offset they would be fine but those tires only measure out to be 32.4 inches tall. I could almost fit those on my 2 inch lift.

4) With a 4 inch lift and the proper offset wheel you will have no trouble running a 285/70R17 or 33x12.5R17 tire. However depending on what wheels you go with, bending over the pinch weld and trimming/re molding of the plastic inner fender well will be required.
