This was a pretty painful & aggravating experience.
I never received an e-mail - because I didn't realize I had entered my e-mail address incorrectly - I had 2 letters reversed, which I have now corrected.
I actually work as a computer network administrator and typically, if you are forced to do a password reset, YOU CAN STILL LOG-IN WITH YOUR OLD PASSWORD - you are simply forced to change it once you log-in before you are allowed to proceed any further.
That did not happen in my case, one day out of the blue, I just could not log-in & was being told that my password was incorrect - never being given an opportunity to reset it.
As a result, I was locked out of my account for a week before I was finally able to get it straightened out today, after 5 e-mails back & forth with the administrators, over a week-long period.
I guess the lesson learned here is make sure your contact e-mail address is correct & up to date in your user profile info.
