Third Row seat - locked in up position

Anyone have this problem? I tried searching for third row seat issues. The passenger side seat is "stuck" in the up position. The release latch won't release. Any suggestions other than to take it to the dealership? I couldn't see any kind of manual release, and don't see how I can get the trim off with the seat in the up position.

HELP!

Try pulling the seat back towards you while you pull on the release maybe shake it as well don't be gentle put some weight behind it. You could spray some lube up there as well but cover everything around there you don't want getting hit with it.

I had this problem when my '06 was new, ended up having to go to the dealer and they tore the seat apart to fix it. The propblem was inside the seat. Not saying that is the same for you just a heads up!

To unlock the seat, you have to pull the lever towards you. So, have some one pull the lever all the way, and then on the other side (inside), stick a screwdriver into the slot and move it around until it unlocks the handle from the metal piece on the seat. Worth a try!

Push down or kneel on the seat while you pull on the lever.
