Navigation System

I'd like to see the Nav unit be modded through software. I know of a few sites that allow you to add jacks to the back, but thats messy. I know you can rip the DVD and burn a copy with a Dual Layer burner. Anyone here have programing experience?

Re: Navigation System

Has anyone modded the Nav unit to allow a backup camera through the display. I see that there are a couple of sites that want you to send your Nav unit into to them for the mod and then you just install a backup camera. Has anyone looked into this?

Re: Navigation System

I was checking out the Chrysler 300 forums a while ago (alot of commone componets to commander) and there are quite a few people who have sent their rec nav units in to be modified. It seems to be very fast turnaround and works fine. I believe it includes camera input as well as alternate source. Somebody even had VES feed to nav unit and nav display fed to rear screen so they could watch movies on nav screen using ves dvd player.

Sent them "in" where?

Can you provide a link to the other forum you have been at?

Thanks,
