Made a HiLift Mount

Guess this is sort of and exterior appearance mod.
After getting myself stuck last time out I found myself missing my HiLift. So I made a bracket to bolt it to the roof-rack on the Jeep Commander. Also made a handle clamp with Quickfist for shovel or axe. Took a week trip on the back roads last week and it held up great so far.

Well done sir! Where did you get the bracket or the parts to make them?

That looks fabulous. What a great set up. Please let us know how to build it.

I work as a machinist. Took solid blocks of 6061T6 aluminum. Measured the crossbar which turned out to be a rougher measurement since it is kind of an elliptical shape. We do have the compatibilities to measure it accurately but figured it would clamp just fine measuring by hand. Wrote a program and ran it in a Haas CNC milling machine. Not really a home brew solution unless you have some nice toys to play with in your garage
