Roof Racks on or off?

I had a few friends over the other day and while we were standing around it was suggested that I take the roof racks off to make it look cleaner. What do you guys think?

I feel like having them on gives the jeep a bigger (more visual height) more 'rugged' or 'off road' look. And they are useful at times.

That said running without them gives a nice clean look to the jeep, and if your doing much highway traveling can actually help up the mileage.

I try to take them off when I'm going on a trip and not planning on carrying cargo on top. Then again if I ever get a 4" lift I'm going to have to take them off to get in the garage. . .

silver '06 4.7l, leather, no sway bars, BFG A/T with MTR tread (TreadWright) 265/70/17, 1.5" spider trax, get lost 4x4 front bumper and rock sliders, custom lift (OME front springs with spacers, 2.25 RR in rear)

Leave it on, it's useful and makes it look all grown up.

Mine are always at Home if I need them. There are some tight underground garages in Toronto.
