Talking Yikes! Attack of the chrome!

I came across this modded XK, and thought everyone might find it interesting. In my opinion its just a little too much chrome for me .

Yikes is correct. I was so glad when the automakers started "de-chroming" vehicles.

Some chrome is good but too much is TOO MUCH!!!! This may not look too bad if it were a black or red XK.....maybe.

Chrome has its place, even in abundance, but on that Commander it looked all wrong.

I prefer chrome over black plastic molding, which generally just looks cheap, but that is too much.

In the same vein, some big SUVs look decent "blinged out" (not that it's my personal style), but the Commander for whatever reason just doesn't "bling" well... to me it's an all-terrain vehicle, not a suburban bling-mobile. I like the look of the off-the-showfloor chrome trim, but anything much beyond that is just not right.
