SOLD: MyGig RER Update DVDs

I updated my '08 Commander's MyGig last night with the most recent updates for the RER Navigation System and the Gracenotes database. I downloaded the files for the RER version 2.043 update and the Gracenotes 2057 update from www.mofv.com and burned them onto separate Memorex DVD-R discs. Since the update was successful, I don't need the discs anymore and wanted to offer them to anyone who needs their use.

If anyone is interested in these, please let me know. I ask that you pay for postage and throw in $2.00 to cover the cost for the two discs. (I'm not trying to make any money on this, I just want my money back on the DVDs I bought and to let someone use the discs who doesn't have the ability to burn their own.)

If you get these from me, I'll include the web address with the instructions for performing the updates because if you don't do the update correctly you'll risk "bricking" your MyGig until you can take it to a dealer to fix. The 2.043 update takes about 15 minutes to complete. The Gracenotes update took almost 30 minutes to complete. After the update several of my CDs that wouldn't previously show Album or song titles now do so. Yeah!

I only have one set of these discs so first come first served.

Thanks,
Andre.

I'm interested...how recent was this update? My jeep was updated back in march of 2009 right before I bought it. Do you know what version it is?

Urbancrawler,

www.mofv.com/mygig shows the following info for the two updates.

The MyGig update was posted on their site October 2009 and will update your system to Version 2.043.

The Gracenotes update was posted on their site December 2009 and will update your system to Version 2057.

You can check your current file/database versions by selecting "Menu" then selecting "System Setup" and then finally selecting "System Information." If your currently installed versions are numerically lower than the respective 2.043 and 2057 versions you can apply these updates. If you versions are the same, you don't need the update.

Let me know if you're interested. You can send me a private message with your address. I'll send you the discs and you can pay later. (It'll be $2.00 plus the cost of postage - whatever is cheapest at the post office.) If you want to pay via paypal let me know and I'll send you my email so you can make payment there or just send a check (I'll provide my address). If you want to wait to pay until you receive the dics, that's fine too, like I said I just want to forward the discs with someone who can also use them.

Thanks,
Andre.
