So whats stopping me from doing this other than a little modification to attach it? There has to be emough room for it, Im thinking about just fabricating my own.. Any tips/ideas?

Check out this thread as it might help: https://www.jeepcommander.com/forums/...ead.php?t=1354

I just bought a generic 3" K&N filter for it (ru-2820). The performance improvement is unbelievable.

My kit before the K&N Filter... looks ghetto but does an awsome job...

Re: K&N 63 Series on a 3.7 V6

My K&N 63 is noisy..... love it! I did the short tube like above on my 3.7 Liberty. Worked ok. The tube on the 63 is smooth.... helps a lot with horsepower according to the K&N people. the points for vacumn and the air flow sensor (I think that is the name) are supposedly calculated for best performance of the filter/tube/intake. Too, the shield they provide cuts way down on engine heat making it a much better cold air intake.

Re: K&N 63 Series on a 3.7 V6

You can hear it sucking air... amazing... I would change it for a K&N but they dont' make one for the V6. The tube of my aftermarket version is very smooth as well. It works great, but doesn't look too good.

They will probably be coming....... they make cold air intake for the 3.7 Liberty.
