I am just starting the build my commander and I am also trying to find an intake and haven't had any luck. Been thinking about building a custom system.

intake

I found a 4.7L V8 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Air Intake...but don't know if it will really fit the commander even though a lot of stuff is swappable between the two?

Check out k&n. they have 2 different models for our jeep.

If you put the part numbers on ebay you can get a brand new one for like ~200. I have one on my 06 4.7 and I love it. Great sound and hp. Goes great with the Gibson Exhaust.

This one would be your best bet. It's not chrome so it stays cooler and offers +9 hp.
