grand cherokee to xk?

Ok. I am tired of searching for an aftermarket cold air intake kit for my 2008 xk 4.7L (Other than K&N) so I have an idea in my mind and I want to share with you guys and need your opinions. Both the commander and the grand cherokee share many things and the 2008 4.7L models have same engine with same HP (305) and I am thinking to use a cold air kit that is made for the cherokee on my xk. Will this idea work and the kit will fit on the xk. Did anyone try it???

The XK and WK share the exact same engines, transmission, etc., it is only the body that is different so the only limiting factor is the possible size difference in the engine compartment, which could mean some of the resevoir bottles might be relocated from those of an XK. If I were you, I'd compare pictures of a WK engine compartment vs an XK, they should be very similar if not identical.

Thank you psycho. I did what you adviced me to do and I compared the two engines compartment and its not same so I apply your idea on 2007 & 2008 xk 4.7L limited.
I got the pictures of the two engines compartment and I want your opinion. I got those pictures from autos.yahoo.com .
First for 2008 4.7L limited 4x4

Second for 2007 4.7L limited 4x4

I think they are identical but I want to hear from you and from others first because for 2007 there are many options for the intake and I can use it.

I did some research of my own, but it was for the 5.7, and there is a mopar kit that goes to both the xk and wk. So i imagine the 4.7 would be the same. just my 2 cents though.

There are plenty of options for the XK, so why use one meant for a WK? I run an AEM intake on my Commander, but had to make a couple extra splash shields for it to really be happy with it. I need to take a couple photos sometime, with the addition of the shields now I wouldn't run anything else. Probably time for updated pics soon.

For the record, that is definitely the same image both times, and matches my 2007 4.7 engine bay to the T.
