K&N CAI General Questions

If I install the K&N Filter kit in my commander, will that set any sensors off with the check engine light since there's more air flowing through? Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: k&n filter kit question

I was also wondering if the install of the K&N affects the warranty

Re: k&n filter kit question

I've had it on for 3000K miles now, and haven't experienced any issue what so ever.
And no, the filter will not void the warranty, unless they can prove the filter caused something to happen. Very unlikely. Besides, almost every dealer sells K&N filters.

Can you post a link to the K&N filter your talking about? is it just the filter or is it a cold air system? Does it replace the factory filter box?

I got mine off of eBay from this seller. It's just a stock panel filter replacement.

Re: k&n filter kit question

AFAIK, the cold air system is still under development. They used my vehicle to prototype. They are just waiting for approval. Should be soon.

Re: k&n filter kit question

Thanks for the replies guys. Sycohemi, I'm holding out for the cold air kit. How do you get on the list for all the R&D stuff? Being in the right place helps I guess.

Later,
Chip
