So an update to the ride.
I have yet to be able to find a dyne shop that can do the all wheel drive the Commander needs. The upgrades to the car are just too much for my Diablo Intune to handle and I require the custom tune
Now with that said, my throttle response if off the hook. The car drives like a banshee and I can hit 70mph in a few seconds; I will dust a charger fairly easy now... even the 6.1 and almost the 6.4.
I cannot wait to clean up the program to match the air intake with the exhaust profile in order to dial it in.
I have no pictures yet, still have not added the 6.1 intake. I am doing a bit more research on it lately and found that many in the LX community actually favor not doing it?!
I may buy some junkyard heads and work those instead. If I can find a pair cheap I am thinking that will be the route I go.
I just hit 100K on the motor and it is kind of time to conduct a rebuild really. Could be time to plan the new crank and maybe a small oversize to the bore.. nothing major, maybe .060 over? with a stroker crank possibly? I do not want to go crazy, but maybe make the sleeper awaken so to speak.
If I did it the budget has to be prepared, maybe $2000 for the total with machining included. I am thinking that would be new valve (manly super race flow), bowl work, port match all flow ports/polish, deck mill, crank bore, shot peen rods, KB pistons, clean and paint.
Tougher choice would be to get a donor motor or buy a block?
