Damn that's cheap as dirt. I would never trust that under my hood. No turbo kit that cheap is worth risking damage to the engine.

Hey, it comes with "FREE GLOWING BOOST GAUGE KIT " how can you resist?

Oh, yes. The small explosion and expensive grinding noise.

Seriously I saw one of these go into in a Civic last year. The installer was fairly skillful (if untouched by healthy skeptisim) but it didn't end well. I'm not certain it was the turbo that destroyed the engine... but its a fair bet.

Perhaps that is why it comes with a roll of toilet paper - there seems to be one in piccy ready for test day.

Having done a few from scratch turbo systems...

First of all, you can't buy even a center section for a turbo for only $300, let alone the whole unit. Maybe an exhaust housing for that price. A typical new turbo unit can be had for around $500 to $800 for a small engine. How can that price be for all that?

Where's the exhaust manifolds? I guess you're on your own for hooking up the exhaust to the turbine section. And, with V8's, it can get deep what with crossovers and slip fittings to allow for heat expansion. The only part shown is intake items. I do see a turbine inlet piece that I guess you can weld to your own made up exhaust system.

For a turbo, small intercooler, fittings, etc. there's something wrong with the $299 price. It's either a misprint, or...?

I can't see the back end of the turbo that well, but it seems to be sans wastegate. NOT GOOD. You need boost control, or the manifold pressure will go off the map. It doesn't look like a variable vane type either... where's the linkage?

Check out the seller's username on http://toolhaus.org There's a lot of complaints. When buying on eBay, I always check them out thru toolhaus. It roots up all the dirt on an eBay user. And... after recent changes, 100% rating means nothing anymore. The bad stuff just drops off after a few weeks or months.

2006, 4.7L, QTII, Toyo M/T 265/70R17 tires, Ultrasport 175 wheels, Rocky Road 2.25'' lift kit, HID off-road lighting, Surco 50x60 roof rack, Foxwing awning.

ive never heard of a turbo that cheap plus , you when you put a turbo in a NA car or (Naturally aspirated) vehicle, you'll also need a new fuel system like injectors , fuel pumps , and throttle body as well as a wide band system for tuning from rich and lean , you'll also need to lower the compression in the cylinders , because they will be much to high for forced induction , and then you ll have to worry about building the block as well with different pistons and valves and so on and so forth ....... it would be very expensive when you would get just as much power if not less than a 5.7 hemi

!!FREE GLOWING BOOST GAUGE KIT WITH BUY IT NOW PRICE!! I'm tempted to ask the seller when this would glow, and for how long: does it glow before the engine explodes, during the actual explosion, or possibly only after, to give the operator an indication that the engine has just exploded!

Hey Adondo, thanks for that tip. Almost got caught up with a shady seller (completely different item).

I've found more often than not its too good to be true thru EBAY
