New XK Owner here...

Hey ya'll...

I recently bought an 06 Commander 3.6L 4X4...I have only had it for 2 weeks and I know I will buy another in the near future!

I am looking to outfit my XK for some offroading fun (who wouldnt ;0)
What is some advice that you would give to an eager XK owner...dont wanna overdo it and look like a poser! Thanks!

Welcome aboard!

#1 thing i would look at is skid plates. Here's a list: https://www.jeepcommander.com/forums/...light=complete

Get the 2" spacer kit of your liking (I went with Rough Country) and some good A/T or M/T tires (depending on your daily needs), and you'll have a very capable rig.

Skid plates is a good idea if you don;t have them. You may also look for some at the salvage yard.

You wouldn't think it was possible, but people do:

Now this wouldn't be to bad, I wouldn't do it personally to my Commander, but wouldn't hold it against someone that did:

Still waiting for someone to come out with the CarbonFiber Panel Kit, I think that would be a modern interpretation to the wood panel of old.
