new commander owner

i just brought a 08/V6 commander for 10.500. it only has 64k on it. think i got a great deal. was a must sell quickly thing. anyways the only thing that is wrong with it, the rear plastic fender well has been sideswiped. what would be the best way of painting it. rattle can or with a paint sprayer. i'm not sure how you would prep plastic, do you sand it lightly and prime and paint it? or just paint over it. thanks for your input!

Remove it, restore the surface by wet sanding and filler if required.
Have it professionally refinished......these use a color coat and clear coat process.
