drivers seat

2007 jeep commander limited 4.7 flex fuel. a month ago alternator and battery had to be replaced...pretty sure alternator shorted out. replaced both and also replaced serpentine belt and tensioner.
since then the drivers seat does not retract when vehicle is turned off and ignition key pulled out...any ideas??

The memory might have been lost. Have you tried reprogramming the seat settings ?

There is a setting for that. Flip through the menu items in the dash display. It's in there. Sorry my Commander isn't hope so I don't have specifics.

Yes, first you have to set the seat where you want it and save the position, this is done with the switch in the door. Then you scroll through the menu in and find the "easy entry seat" selection and set it to "on"
