Transfer case change out??

Hey everyone I have a 3.7L with 147 t-case (QT1) . I want to change to nv245 (QT2). The only difference between the QT1 and QT2 is the t-cases that I can see of. If I do the change out do i have to change the computer to??? Any help would be appreciated.

There is actually a lot of work that is involved in swapping your XK over to QT II. If you dont have a donor vehicle with all the parts you need then its really not even worth the hassle. Besides, you need a special NV 245 Transfer case. Not the one found in the 4.7 liter & 5.7 liter. You would ned to find one that came out of the 3.7 liter and thats a very rare option.

Thank you for replying I appreciate the response. All I need in it is the low range in it.
It's the full-time 4x4 no low. do you know if it can be installed in the existing t-case??
