07 vs 08+ Commander

Hello,

I found a very nice 07 Hemi Limited at a good price. I know there was some kind of motor change between then 07 and 08+ Grand Cherokees.

Is it worth it for me to look for an 08+ Commander and pay more? Or is there not enough difference?

Thanks in advance.

The only difference I know of between the 07 & 08 was with the 4.7 liter engine. The 08 4.7 liter has 16 spark plugs with a lot more HP/TQ. I'm not aware of any difference in the HEMI from 07 to 08

Thanks for the info. Do you know if all Limited models came stock with QDII? Or is that the Overland only?

They pumped up the HP in the Hemi for '08. I think they might have added VVT to it, too.

check out allpar.com for info on the hemi's progression throughout the years. They seem to document everything.

I seen an 09 Hemi Limited at my local dealer for sale and it only had the 10 bolt rear axle (QT II). I would have purchased it if it had QD II.
