Cool ** Whats your HEMI mpg **

I'm new to the Hemi world. Been watching the EVIC display. Our average for mostly city/grocery store runs is about 13.3. When on the interstate and I hit the reset...once it settles down, I get about 19.

What are you guys getting...

I haven't taken the time to log one of the trip A/B miles and reset/compare that with the next fill up and compute it from there. I want to, but just haven't take the time to do it.

Re: ** Whats your HEMI mpg **

I am a careful driver, I try and squeeze all I can out of the mpg. No fast starts etc keep my maximum speed on trips at 75mph or less. Yet the BEST I can do in city driving is 14-15mpg (a LOT depends upon redlights as IMHO the Hemi uses more gas IDLING at a light then actually running) and 19 on the highway. Where I can I try and keep the speed between 40-60 mph with very easy gas pedal to try and run on the 4 cyl. I also keep the tires inflated to 35#'s. john

Re: ** Whats your HEMI mpg **

My experience is much like John's. 14 is the best I do city/country road driving. Highway trips 18 is my best. I treat mpg with the Hemi like a challenge on long trips. I try to beat my last trip's number

Re: ** Whats your HEMI mpg **

Have faithfully kept records on the stock Hemi and we get 13.3 in the city (and that is our overall average) - but long highway trips yield about 15.5mpg or so.

Re: ** Whats your HEMI mpg **

Good question. The EVIC shows about 12-13 to and from work. BUT, I used to get 14-15. I did put on a lift and some bigger tires and I know that even though I had it calibrated, the calibration is not exact with the system. For every mile I go, the odo read 0.9 - a 10% difference in my favor. So, I suppose I could add 10% to my MPG also and be getting 13-14 (almost like original). On the highway pulling a loaded car on a dolly I was getting sub 10. On another trip on the highway I was getting 17-18.

RIP - Silver '06 Limited; 5.7 Hemi; 2" TerraFlex Lift; 255/70R17 Bridgestone Dueler REVOS, Horizontal Inclinometer, Signal Frog Antenna Ball, Surco Safari 50"x50" Roof Rack, GetLost4x4 bumper, Bulldog 9k Winch, GetLost4x4 Rock Rails - (should have added a snorkel)

Re: ** Whats your HEMI mpg **

City Fun - 11.5 - 12.5 mpg
Highway fun - 15 - 16 mpg
City Lighfoot - 13 - 13.5
Highway Lighfoot 17 - 18 mpg

All above after mods and isolation of air intake from engine heat.
