Exclamation 4WD actuator motor

Does anyone know of a way to bench test the actuator motor? Is there a wiring diagram for the actuator motor plug? I know it has a 5 volt source but what do the other 5 wires do? Has anyone tried to replace the actuator motor with some sort of manual engagement system? I'm looking for a way around the $$$$$ of a new motor and the torid "Service 4WD System" display.

To "bench test" the motor, you'd need to have an oscilloscope, technically speaking.

If you're talking about simply activating it to see if it does something, I'd recommend using a multimeter to test between each conductor and the motor housing; if there's continuity, its obviously common with "ground" (negative).

Now I have no idea if the "motor" is actually a series of motors; an "XY" configuration, or if its simply bi-directional.

Thanks for the manual link. It looks like I'll be doing a lot of reading.

The manual came from a member of the forum in Russia; AByrvalg. He deserves a great big THANK YOU from everyone who's gotten a copy of this!

All I did was convert it and put it into a dropbox account.
