Spare Tire Location

What is the largest tire that I put in the spare tire location. The reason I'm asking is because I'm planning to buy the new BF Goodrich KM2 245/75/R17 mud tires 31". I already bought the 2" lift by RevTek and I need to decide which tire size to buy.

265 X .7 = 185.5 mm high (7.3 in)+17+7.3 in = 31.6 in

245 X .75= 183.75 mm high (7.25 in)x2 +17 = 31.5 in

245 X .65 = 159.25 mm high (6.3in)x2 +17 = 29.6 in

so, how big IS the hole with the hitch?

Not sure, but I have a 245/70R17 Wrangler SilentArmor tucked up in there with the factory hitch. It isn't even visible unless you get down below the hitch level.

I don't think the 0.1" would make that much difference to where you couldn't fit the 265/70/R17 up there.

I would say you have 1/2 in of space for a bigger tire under there with hitch.
