Blower/Fan Speed Knob

So I went to turn on my heat today and the blower motor/fan speed control knob will not move not matter how hard I turn it. Its completely frozen. Has anyone experienced this before? Before it froze into place, it would only work on the highest speed. I replaced the blower resistor under the front glove box, it worked for a few days then would only work on the highest fan speed again. Please help!

It's the connector they burn up, you need to splice on new connectors and new resistor

I looked on ebay, I may be misunderstanding but will this fix the fact that the knob inside the cabin will not turn. I have replaced the resistor before but does that inhibit the knob from turning?
