Park Sense Quit Working

Had my tires rotated and balanced this weekend. Since then my park sensors do not pick anything up.

I thought they were just dirty so I cleaned them off. Seemed to work immediately after that. I even put the parking brake on, put it in reverse and walked behind it and they were all active.

Now again this morning, no familiar beeping as I back out of the garage, or as I back over the parking block.

Is there a calibration for the park sense?

Nope. I even tried turning them off and back on, but no luck there either.

I bet they jiggled the connector loose when servicing your spare tire? Let us know if that was the problem. john

I cleaned off the park sensors, they weren't very dirty at all, and they seem to have come back to life. I looked underneath and nothing seemed to be amiss with the wiring, I'm sure they didn't touch the spare.

I'm writing it off as an anomaly unless it starts again.

Park Assist no beeps until RED...

My park assist doesn't beep until I get Red lights. The owner's manual says it should beep at yellow and beep again at red and then steady beep at 2 reds.

Anyone else ever have that issue? What resolution?

Dealer says it was normal and I said "Can't be". So I'll be taking it back for that issue, but I want some facts first...

Your assistance greatly appreciated..

Best thing to do is show the dealer what it says in the manual.

OK....I need to take a poll. Everyone test their Park Assist and let me know when you hear the first BEEP.

List your year and the light color and number (for me it's 2006: first Red).

I SWEAR the manual says the beep should be heard on the first Yellow Light, but the dealer says NOPE. Says they changed it and I have a new "module".

Sounds funny to me....but not funny...

Your help appreciated...
