HID Questions

Ok...I think I may be interested in upgrading to HID lights, however I have a few questions.....

1) There are so many different brands out there, what is the best? (Note, this doesn't necessarily mean What do you have?)

2) I'm interested in buying everything needed to do the conversion, including high-low, etc., what do I need to make sure I have in a kit???

3) I would only do the HID upgrade as long as my fog lights were upgraded as well, what are my options or what do I need to buy to accomplish this??

4) For those of you who have made the purchase, what should I expect to pay (a fair price) to upgrade, including my fog lights???

5) Is this a straight-forward mod that I can perform myself? I am moderately mechanically inclined.

6) I don't want to have to do any cutting, etc. to my Commander, are most conversions plug and play????

Thanks!

I Recently Ordered Hid Kits On Ebay For The Low Beams And The Foglights. I Had Them On My Impala. It Was A Breeze To Install Once You Get The Headlight Assembly Off..basically Just Plug And Play But You Had To Secure The Ballast Somewhere. I Will Let You Know If The Foglights Work. Had To Order H10 Kit. They Should Arrive Via Ups Today So If They Work With No Prob. I'll Post Some Pics. Also Im Ordering The Led Taillights Today Too So Hopefully They Will Look Nice

I had mine installed yesterday, and while I didn't do them myself, here's a couple notes of interest.

I paid $370 for the kit, and $70 for the install.

The lights work fine when the Jeep isn't on, but if you don't install a relay, they won't come on when the Jeep is on due to the daytime running lights. I'm not techy, but I sat around for 1hour while they tried to figure it out, and that what I was told. Now they work perfectly and look very sharp.

Good luck.
