Installed my Gibson catback exhaust today..The quality is good and it sounds great. It has a nice deep rumble and the 4 inch tip finishes it off perfectly

Looking good; Quite similar to the cat-back exhaust system from aFe;

I turned my leased Buick in recently and we picked up a '15 Jeep Cherokee for my wife to drive. So I have started driving our '06 Commander as my daily driver. Over the past month or so I changed the shocks on the rear lift glass, replaced the drivers door weather stripping, painted the drivers side roof rack rail because it was pealing and changed the wiper relay.

In the next couple of weeks I'm going to work with my brother to change the brakes, rotate the tires and replace the drivers and passengers seat sheilds as they have been broke for a while. Yesterday I gave it a wash and cleaned up the rims. Feels good to take care of a few small things and get the Commander cleaned up a bit!!

That's a good looking XK; It's pretty surprising how hard it is to compress those rear lift-gate glass pistons if you've ever tried to do it by hand;

When I replaced mine about 2 years ago, I remember taking them out of the box and trying to compress them by hand and they wouldn't budge, I had to put one end on the floor & press down on the other end with a 2 x 4 with quite a bit of my body weight to get it to move;

They were so hard to move, I thought they were faulty at first. I had no idea how much pressure it takes to compress those pistons.

Thanks!! Yea, people are surprised when we tell them it's an '06.

I was worried a bit that I'd break the glass when closing it. Definitely takes some force to close it now. It feels good to replace some of these non-functional / old / rusting parts. Gotta give it some TLC to keep it running good!!

Replaced a bad coil on #1 cylinder and changed the plugs while I was in there to NGK 6441.
