How to check if my 2007 XK has Remote Start?

Hi, Newbie here

I have a 2007 XK Rocky Mountain Edition

I suspect it has the Remote Start functionality but cant make sure cuz it has this key http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...TL._SY300_.jpg

is there any way that I can be sure if it has the Remote Start or hasn't?

Is that key the original that came with the vehicle when it was new? It looks like the OEM key.

Remote start requires additional equipment and electronic configuring. I highly doubt it would have come off the assembly line with the equipment, then the factory messed up and paired incorrect keys for it.

Unless, you have a reason to suspect a previous owner lost both keys and had a less capable replacement key programmed for the vehicle, I'd say the key is your answer.

You could get Parts Catalogues and Factory Service Manuals, see if you can identify a specific part just for the remote start or a relay that just the remote start would have. Then look over your Commanders to see if that part or relay is in it or NOT.

its a button on your remote.... if you don't have it, you can add in a aftermarket one without splicing any wires like the one I got for my wifes 2010 commander:

http://www.amazon.com/Install-Remote-2006-2007-Charger-Commander/dp/B00QUEXXWC/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1426425755&vehicle=2007-42-2817------------1-0&sr=1-1-catcorr&ymm=2007%3Ajeep%3Acommander&keywords=fortin+remote+start+jeep+commander
All you have to do is connect 2 yellow wires together.
