With gas prices get up there, are you thinking about buying a locking gas cap?

I recently bought a locking gas gap because some took 1/3 of a tank from me one night.....About a month ago.........

If people are breaking into vehicles around where I am living for GPS units, I bet gas is already getting stolen.

sadly in the UK they have been standard fitment for a long time.

not because fuel is so expensive just that we have a poor justice system where crooks become the victim and the victim becomes a criminal.

No, because I read that if a criminal who wants gasoline comes across a locking gas cap, they just go under the car & puncture the gas tank.. Thanks but no thanks.

Mine came fitted with locking gas cap as drysuitdiver,,,,, maybe it is standard in XH (international model)

I wished its not there..

I don't intend to get a locking gas cap. I keep my Jeep parked inside at night and if someone wants my fuel that bad during the day, I'd rather they just take it and not damage my car in the process.

Does the fuel skid plate cover 100% of the tank, or just cover enough to protect it from large rocks? I'm guessing it could still be done, although it may be more difficult, which would piss the thief off.
