2008 jeep Commander seat behind driver seat

My mom spilled a gallon of gas in her car when hauling her new chainsaw..I had to take second row seats out..
They're going back in with no problems, except for the one directly behind driver....
The holes are on a Gian spring that I can hardly get to move and line up withthe holes on chair..
Is there a trick or just have hher go to dealer for that one side of the chairs....
Thanks in advance!!
