issue: cold start tire rubbing feeling when turning, but goes away

Feels like tires rubbing bumpstops, but that can't just "go away". Doesn't require stepping on the fuel, so it's not a missing/rough engine thing, when I start out and either acellerate OR ROLL forward or backward out of a parking spot or coast around a curve, i get the distinct feeling of rubbing AT/Mud terrains, but this is a unlifted unmodded XK. It goes away once I get up the road a bit stopping and turning it off and restarting once it's warm enough clears it.

So is this maybe Electronic traction control or a LSD not disengaging properly maybe? Transfer case/4WD not acting right maybe? The warm/cold thing really has me stumped. If it sits overnight it will be there again, but can run all day without it happening once it's cleared up.

Yes it does, if the little chrome T handle is any indication still experiencing this it's not keeping anyone from driving but would like to pin it down,

The chrome T-Handle could be Quadra-Trac II or Quadra-Drive II.

Quadra-Drive II has a little badge right there by the T-Handle that says Quadra-Drive II right on it.

If you have a chrome T-Handle to shift into 4-LOW, but you don't have that Quadra-Drive II badge right by the T-Handle, you have Quadra-Trac II.

Only QDII has the ELSD's, the QTII and QTI has just open differentials. So only a QDII could have some binding of the ELSD during low speed sharp turns, and there has been several posts on it. And all cases were the owner reported back solving the problem, it was replacing the fluid using the proper recommended fluid with the proper recommended volume of Mopar Friction Modifier.

Pretty common for LSD's to have problems as the fluid sheers down and degrades, fresh fluid, NOT surprisingly returns the proper operation.

But, LSD's rely on the exact friction properties of the fluid to work correctly.
So there are lots of stories of people with LSD's putting in any old fluid, that isn't correct and then having improper LSD operation.
So look up the right fluid and additive, and use exactly what is recommended. Oh, the Owner's Manual will tell you the exact fluid you need.

This is what it looks like if you have Quadra-Drive II:

If you have the chrome T-handle without that badge inside the red circle, you have Quadra-Trac II which as Mongo already pointed out, does not have the ELSD (Electronic Limited Slip Differential).
