pass. side manif. lk repair fixes cruise control?

After replacing the passenger side gasket for the exhaust manifold, the cruise control is working again. I did pull the line to the vacuum reservoir, and that gave a good hiss long after the engine was shut off. I was less than delicate with the fender liner, just pulled the back half of the rivets and folded it forward. Perhaps I smacked the line for the anti-skid on the hub with the liner?

ABS sensors are notorious for killing Cruise control. A faulty ABS sensor won't even trigger a dash light in all cases, so many assume its a brake light switch, or cruise module, and its a cracked or broken ABS sensor. Thats what i'd bet happened. I have had several chrysler products do this.

How would I test an ABS sensor? Would a crack be highly visible?
