If you suspect a waterpump leak, pull the alternator.

I had a leak in the waterpump area. Real hard to see in there. A radiator test kit duplicated the leak, but all I could see was bubbling coolant and not much else. Was not totally sure it was the waterpump gasket. The main obstruction to viewing the area seemed to me was the alternator. Pulled the mount bolts, and moved it out of the way ( enough slack in the wiring to move it without pulling wires ). Great view of the waterpump area. And I could be sure it was not some water temp sensor, or sneaky hose in the valley area.
