MP3 Player playing music with cracks and blips

Hi all,

Well, I've had my Commander for a year and a half and never used the CD player since I always listen to satellite radio. I decided yesterday to play an MP3 CD in it and all the songs had crackling/blipping noises. It doesn't happen to me when I put the CD in a computer.

Any ideas? Think there may be dust in the CD area since I never used it? Plan on having it serviced next time I take it to the dealer...

What sample rate did you burn the CD at? That could have something to do with it? I haven't had a problem at all with the MP3 playback, but I burn my CDs at a high sample rate.

Gotta love it tho... 100 songs a CD, 6 discs, now that's a roadtrip!

cupra is right on there. Look into burning options for CD's. How they play and how fast depends on how it is burned. I am still learning and I thought you just burned one and stuck it in but....no. I know I love the input jack on the radio to plug in an mp3 player. To me, it is easier than having the cd's. I still like the CD though and use them a lot.
