Quadratrac 1 Questions

I have searched the forum and find many instances of people asking this question in relation to QTII, but not QTI so here goes.

I am wondering how QTI handles in sand , notably the Outer Banks. My parent live there and I spend a month or so a year there every summer.

I cam from a 04 Grand Cherokee with Selec-Trac. I've never put the GC in 4 LOW or 4 Part time, every time i've been on the beach in the GC i was in 4-Full Time(which I am to understand is very similar to the QTI system), with no problems whatsoever.

I know QTI does not have a low range, but being that i never used it before, are there any major differences between the QTI and 4-full time on the older Select Trac models? I know I should turn off the ESP for sand but other than that I'm not sure what the difference is.

I appreciate your help.

QD1 does great in sand. I would keep the the ESP off. I have taken my QD2 in sand before without 4lo on and it worked great.

Just in case, I would put some tow hooks on the XK if you don't have them already
