muffler

how big of difference is it from replacing just the muffler or the whole exhaust??

I recently replaced my muffler with the flowmaster 50. I love how the exhaust looks stock but sounds the opposite. I think you will see more of a performance gain with a full cat back as just replacing the muffler is more for sound. There was no MPG or increases I can tell with just replacing the muffler; however, it is one of my favorite mods so far!

Actually, the cheapest way to go is buy a Flowmaster muffler and run a straight pipe from muffler and you'll have more gains than a cat back at half the cost, escpially if you buy a 3" muffler. I bought my XK with the Flow and Ill be doing a straight pipe soon and expect minimal gains at best as you should with any intake/exhaust mod, get a tuner with it and you'll see great results
