Magnaflow/Gibson Cat-back owners...

First post here. Really like the site. Found tons of informative posts.

On to it.. Wife's 08 Limited Hemi is due for an exhaust upgrade and I'm waffling between a Gibson catback because of the 3" piping and the Magnaflow catback because of the sound clips I've heard.

For the Magnaflow owners, does your exhaust note really sound like this? Wondering if this guy took of the resonator or ? because it sounds a lot louder that I would have expected. Sounds insanely tough.

Found this for the Gibson and I'm not as impressed. Really sounds like my old WRX in tone and we're looking for a legit V8 tone.

I've been researching the threads here already but mainly looking for some confirmation from a Magnaflow catback owner pertaining to the sound on that first video. Love that sound.

EDIT**** WARNING ********* There is some foul language in that first video. Sorry to link it but that's the only video I could find with someone going wild with a Magnaflow catback on a Hemi.

Wow. Not much action around here. Guess I better look elsewhere for answers.

I would guess they removed the stock resonator on the Magnaflow. Which probably makes it sound extra mean with heavy throttle like in this video, but can apparently also cause more drone at cruising speeds.

And yeah, this site can be quiet. Stick around and help fix that part!

Yes, the stock resonator is eliminated with Magnaflow catback. I really don't have any drone with my Magnaflow catback. You can really only hear it when you get on the gas.
