Greetings,
Just popping in to say thanks for a great forum I had lurked here for a long time and found a lot of solutions.
I am sure I will have more questions but thought I would post in here.
This is also my second account my main account doesn't seem to be able to post for some reason.
Thanks!
:wink3:
Hope your enjoying the beach weather has been pretty good.
The commander is my 3rd jeep, started with a CJ, then a XJ (lifted) and some other tricks) now what I call the Jeep Minivan (My Commander) that has blocked sunroof drains, broken interior door handles, dead AC / heat blower, and the front clunk. I have been on this forum a while finding all the solutions and now getting to work.
Sounds like you have a project XK on your hands - and again, a lot of them start out that way.
I'd say there is fair chance your front end clunk might be the front upper differential bushing, which is most likely worn out and in need of being replaced. It's a very common point of wear & failure on XK's.
Yup I found the threads on here about it and sent them to my mechanic, that is a bit above my pay-grade.
so I am planning to bring it by and he is going to check it out.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
