4" Superlift

The Superlift 4" kit finally arrived at 4 Wheel Parts after a long wait of 11 weeks to arrive. Picked it up today. Already have the front end gutted out ready to start the install. Everything looks of high quality and nicely put together. The steering knuckles are cast steel instead of cast aluminum. Almost 4" taller and tie rod mount location relocated to correct for proper angle of tie rods. The machining on these look amazing. The kit also comes with a 3/16" thick skid pan to replace the stock plastic one. Since it is a 2010 it comes with the EGR module to recalibration tire size, gear ratio. It also does turn signal tap to flash if you want. Will start the install tomorrow.
This thing will get a workout up here. Just in time for Spring and Summer.
Will try and post some pictures!

The Lift is on !!!!

Finished the Front about noon and then started on the rear. It is on!!!!!
What a difference. I am really glad we waited for the 4" from Superlift, can't imagine going with a lower lift.
Did the pinch weld mod with a big a-- hammer and then heated up the plastic fender liner just in case
285/70/17 BFGs on XD Spy wheels- 17x8 with a 5 1/2" setback.
Just have to hook up the EGR module.
The Mall Shopper is Gone!
I have a 10,000 lb smitty built winch ready to go as soon as the Tactical Armor Group Bumber comes in.

Update on the Superlift 4"

Just a update on the Superlift 4".
Took it out once before installing the EGR module and no problems but checked the odometer against the GPS and about 5mph off.
Installed the EGR module and on the next drive the odometer was spot on. It handles much better. A little firmer like my Dodge 2500 4x4 Diesel. It doesn't have as much roll on the curves. A bit firmer on the rear also in stock mode it bottomed out with two big adults in the back seat. With the lift just right no bottoming out.
On the dirt it is firm but not too bad. Some of the firmness is from the 285/70/17 BFG All Terrains which are 3 ply sidewalls.
I would rate the ride right there with my Dodge Truck. I think Superlift got it right with this lift on this vehicle.
Drove it up towards Engineer Pass out of Lake City and had to turn back at the gate, the road is still snowed in up higher.. Can't wait to get up there.
This picture is a pull off about three miles out of town next to Henson Creek..

I would have continued but the gate was locked, forgot the bolt cutters!!! The Forest Service and the BLM are famous for locking gates until they dry out they don't want us crazies making big ruts.

Hey USMC,
Looks like I have the same rig as you what is the SSR on the Superlift? and where did you slip in the 2nd battery? Does yours have the electronic limited slip diffs? I thought all the 2010 Limited had these but mine does not.

The SL SSR I noticed is still an option on SL web site. > Rear shocks: choice of Superlift Superide or Superide Select with remote reservoir (SSR)

I believe I received the last ONE that SL was selling late 2009. I had to get the mate for it from another vendor that had one in stock. I believe they where made by Edelbrock , reported extended 25 5/8 " compressed 18".

There where a few reports of some of these shocks leaking and may be the reason SL stopped selling them. I personally have not had any problems with them ( X my fingers Lol) so far.

I didn't notice what 4 Wheel Drive system you have. I got the optional QDII ( Quadra-Drive) 4WD Group > (ELSD front and rear ) w/ Skid Plate Group.

The Limited also came with the QTII (Quadra-Trac, stock w/ 5.7) that does not have the ELSD.

My battery mount info see > http://www.theultimatejeep.com/showt...ll=1#post41673

I installed front and rear lockers in my QT II Commander. You might want to think about doing the same if you plan on wheeling a lot. What a difference!
