Rancho 9000XL Full Suspension

I've done tons of Searching and have been trying to see if anybody has run Rancho 9000 struts/shocks on their XK?

I've seen a couple old threads where folks looked at RS999028. I also see RR has an option with their 2.25" lift to add the Rancho 9k's. I sent them an email this am to ask what model number their using.

Here's what I'm considering ...looking for (hey that's stupid....or that should work).

Running 2.25" lift

Rear Rancho RS999028 -
Compressed = 16.875
X-Tend = 28.125

Front Rancho RS999061 -
Compressed = 16.250
X-Tend = 26.625

I read through the Rancho specs with older jeeps they do support, since they don't support anything for the XK except for the RS5826 which is a lower grade, also for no lift that's how I got the front part number...lots of reading and cross checking...

I know everybody will probably recommend the OME or Bilstein ...but I really like the 9 way adjustable suspension settings and I tow and off-road and the towing the boat would be excellent with the higher 9000s.

What do you guys think? Pipe Dream ...or possibility?

One last question -- does anybody know the existing Compression / X-Tend of the stock struts/springs? I think I read 24.25 Extended...but not positive.

Thanks in advance!

Slight update to this thread...while I might just be talking to myself. Just got the email back from RR... their Rancho 9000 offering comes paired with the Rancho P/N 999005 a quick google shows:

Compressed: 17.5"
Extended: 28.620"

So now, I am thinking I am still in the realm of close with the other 2 P/N I had above... Anybody have any thoughts?
