Coil lift help

I currently have a jk but I'm in the process of selling to get a Commander. So I'm starting to plan my build. I want a coil lift and will be adding steel bumpers and a winch. I'm looking at the ome lift but I'm concerned about the ride. I have teraflex coils and ome shocks on my jk and it made an already rough ride rougher. One reason I'm moving to a commander is I'm getting old and cranky and want off road capabilities with some comfort. I know rough can be a relative term.

So, short story long, with heavy bumpers would I need the hd coils? If so am I looking at the same rough ride my jk gives me? Would the medium coils sag too much with the added weight? I thought of the ome coils with some adjustable shocks. I've heard good thing about the rancho adjustables with jk wranglers anyway.

I've also looked at the 4" superlift. When you go that high do you have to worry about axle and driveshaft issues or any other problems? Also what is the ride like with this lift?
I know I just did a bunch of rambling, but any advice and personal experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks.

My old XK had the 4" SL kit on it and after adding a bumper and winch, it was apparent the factory coils were not up to supporting the front end as they should. I went with a custom approach which cost more, but the result was perfect. I drove my XK for almost three years after adding custom coils with no problems. The ride was better than my wife's XK overland, though I wish someone at the time made stiffer struts. I found even the bilsteins weren't quite up to the task of controlling the heavier wheel/tire combo over abrupt bumps. Other than that, I loved the 4" lift/custom coil combo. Here's a link to the details on those custom coils. I guess there's a chance Deaver still has the specs on file?
