OME lift with body spacer?

I have an 07 commander with the following installed and I'm rubbing like crazy:

-OME coils and strut/shocks medium duty
- Rocky road 1/4 in spacer plate for the front.
- method racewheels STANDARD 17 8.5 with 0 offset and 4.75" spacing.
- 265/70/17 toyo open country AT
- 1.5" Spidertraxx wheel spacer
-pinch weld mod
-front bumper lip removed.
-wheels stick out 2.5-3in from the fender flare.

I'm gonna try removing the spidertraxx spacers tomorrow to see if that stops the rubbing on the inner fender well plastic.

But here's my question... I want to lift the commander another 2 inches with the Rough Country body lift... is this safe?

Not sure it'd you got your answer, but I would not put another lift on top of the ome. If you want more lift get the superlift and modify it.

This may just be semantics, but the Commander is a Uni-Body, you can NOT do a body lift. Well, NOT without a lot of cutting and welding.

The Rough Country Lift must be blocks for the springs.

How much lift is the OME springs/shocks?

I have to agree mixing two different lift kits intended to be used just by themselves likely will be unsafe. At the very least, its an unsafe approach. Especially the front independent suspension, the highest lift kit I've seen is 4" and it replaces major suspension pieces to keep the angles changes down on the Control arms. If you combine two different kits for a total of 4" or more, where a kit designed to do that has shown the angle changes on the control arms are too great, that should tell you, you'll have too great of an angle change on the control arms. At the very least you'll be destroying tie-rod ends and PS racks, if NOT ball joints and UCA, etc. if NOT worse and have dangerous handling or even breakage on the road.

I'm probably telling you something you already know, but that is likely your problem. The farther out the wheel edge is from the pivot point for steering, the bigger the swing fore and aft the outer edge will make. NOT to mention this is murder on the suspension geometry and produces poor handling and increased wear.

I guess in an attempt to avoid rubbing by the inside portion of the tire, you pushed the tires out more with wheel offset, you pushed it so far out, that now the outside of the tire is swinging a bigger arc and contacting the wheel well.
