Front Left Knock and Slip

When I make slow speed right hand turns; i.e. turning into a parking spot, turning into the garage, the left wheel makes a knock/clunking sound. Also, on some occasions as I'm pulling into a parking spot the front left wheel seems to slip like I just hit a small patch of ice.

I have a 2006 Commander with a 3.7 with 136K miles. I just replaced the front struts with Monroe Quick Struts from Rock Auto. The front struts I replaced appear to be the original, and boy, is the ride so much better now. There was quite a bit of noise prior to replacing the struts. So, I'm assuming this issue was there with the old struts, as well, as the slip has been.
