Question Rocky Road Lift with stock rear shocks?

Just wondering if anybody is running the OEM shocks with the Rocky Road 2.25 lift? I'm trying to sneak this lift past my wife when i get the tires next week and $200 is easier to do than $300 And i think for the $45 a shock they charge i can get a better one locally later if i want.

when i had my RR lift i ran it with my stock rear shocks at first. it worked but i was lifting the rear wheels quit often even when going up my driveway in an angle because the travel on our stock shocks are too short.

actually, come to think of it. i still have the Doetsch shocks that came with my Rocky Road kit somewhere in my garage. still in the original box, only slightly used. i think i had them on my XK not even 3 months before i got my superlift installed. i'll sell'em to ya if ya want.

just a wild hunch here but does the "SD" in your name stand for San Diego? are you here in SD somewhere?
