Help with OME lift kit ordering please

Can somebody please help me with what all I exactly would need to order from Rocky Road Outfitters to put together a complete OME lift? Will I be ordering the complete OME Full Suspension package? How much lift will I receive with this kit using the heavy duty springs?

I just bought the same kit for my 07 XK Limited 4x4 5.7L, but haven't installed it yet. The vendor I purchased from recommended HD springs front and rear, mostly for the extra weight of the HEMI, as well as 3/8" leveling spacers for the front. I also went with the replacement upper control arms with serviceable ball joints.

I have installed HD OME lifts on two (JK) wranglers and an XJ, including my current JK with an LS (6.0L) conversion. I have always been very happy with the ride and quality of the products. Good Luck!

Steve,

I don't have any experience with Rocky Road because I have the 2 inch Rough Country lift which is essentially just spacer lift and really does not require any additional components to install.

I'm pretty sure Rocky Road Outfitters is a little more in depth with their kits and will actually tell you what additional components they recommend you purchase.

I think if you contact them - by phone or by e-mail, they will give you some pretty specific guidance on what components they recommend you order.

Here's a link to their website;

I'd suggest you purchase the springs and shocks elsewhere - like JBAOffroad.com - for the customer service alone.

The XK will get a fairly significant lift with just the springs - and the Jeep will be leveled out with no further spacers needed if you go with the OME HD springs front and rear. Go with either the OME shocks or Bilstein - I used Bilstein 4600s as I've used those shocks in other lifted vehicles and really liked the ride. Was on a road trip last week with a guy who just bought a Chevy Silverado 1500 and he said my XK rode better than his brand new truck. I really like the ride and stability. Here's a pic right after I installed the springs and shocks this spring; it's settled a little bit but is still at 22.25" from the center of the hub to the flare in front. New tires coming soon.

I have the ome hd springs all around and ome front shocks. I also used a 3/8 spacer up front and took full advantage of the slot in the strut bolt holes for maximun height. Front came out about 1.5 inches higher than the rear and the Monroe f150 loadlevelers evened it out.

Has been like that for at least 130000 miles now. Just ordered new ball joints and shocks yesterday, going to try the 5100's this time around on lowest setting with ome hd springs and no 3/8 spacer... Hopefully height will be the same.

I'll try to dig up the thread I wrote a few years back.
